Go Blue Mariculture initiative kicks off in Lamu County

JKP CEO, Mr. Emmanuel Nzai with GIZ's Arnoud Meijberg, joined the kickoff of a series of engagement forums with mariculture stakeholders in one of the sites near Lamu port. It was also the first visit to the newly elected Governor of Lamu county, H.E. Issa Timamy, who doubles up as the Chair of the Blue Economy workgroup in the Council of Governors. 
The Mariculture project is a Go Blue project initiative under Germany's Development Corporation Agency, GIZ, aimed at ensuring a sustainable fish supply through training of fishermen and establishment of tidal ponds.
